BCU 1 Star

The emphasis of the course is on safe practice, fun and enjoyment. It is a six hour course that can be run over one day. Once you have successfully mastered the course, you will have earnt a qualification which allows you to further improve your skills and take them to the next level. The criteria for the one star assessment are laid down by the British Canoe Union.
The training will be delivered in an informal manner, with lots of opportunities to practice and experiment with various techniques and coaching methods.
Island Adventures can run the BCU 1 Star on request. Simply contact us to express your interest, and once an appropriately sized group is formed we can run the session on a mutually agreed date.
