Island Adventures is a newly established company, formed by a local couple whose love of the outdoors shines through in the adventures and training they offer.
Guernsey’s delightfully natural environment offers some spectacular outdoor activities and some unforgettable scenery which can be enjoyed on many levels during each adventure. Island Adventures’ fleet of equipment can be easily transported around the island, seeking out the most suitable location to accommodate the weather conditions and the individual needs of each group.

Well qualified and with 13 years of experience between them, the Island Adventures team not only have a sound understanding of their teachings, but also have a real passion for sharing their experiences. With a range of safety and comfort equipment available, the highest standards can be expected throughout every session offered.
Kelly is a very competent kayaker with 10 years experience under her boat. She is a UKCC Level 2 coach whose leadership expertise has helped many people to progress their own paddling skills. Having been introduced to bivouac and bushcraft skills in 2009 Kelly is dedicated to the Leave No Trace initiative and follows the principles during all the activities she leads. Kelly’s love of the island is infectious as she introduces people to the exciting activities Guernsey has to offer.
Alex has gained many years experience in outdoor activities through his volunteer work with the local Scout association. He is a UKCC Level 1 coach and his appreciation of the sea and the natural environment boosts his enthusiasm for coaching and passing on his knowledge to others. He has been teaching bivouac and bushcraft skills to his local Scout troop and is looking forward to introducing more people to the activity. Alex is a full time fire fighter by trade, so is familiar with dynamically risk assessing all situations.
Both Kelly and Alex are fully qualified in all the activities they offer, are RLSS First Aid trained and hold Child Protection qualifications and enhanced Police Safety Checks. All qualifications can be viewed on request. The company has passed an inspection by Guernsey’s Health and Safety Executive, Guernsey’s Environment Department and a further inspection by ‘Escape Routes’, an independent safety assessor. Island Adventures is a British Canoe Union Accredited Provider and a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning.
