We offer the following outdoor activities for an adventure you won’t forget!
Kayaking – Our kayak adventure sessions cover the basic essentials in the calm waters of the bay, before venturing out to explore the playground of rocks, cliffs and caves that lies beyond. If you prefer, you can have a private tuition session, to further your skills in a 1:1 environment. Whether you choose to use our boats, or have one of your own that you’d like to master, we can tailor our sessions to suit your individual needs and desires.

Kayak Training - Once you have learnt the basics, the open water is your oyster as you adapt to your aquatic surroundings and go exploring! Our nationally recognised courses are designed as an introduction to kayaking.
Coasteering - Welcome to the exciting world of coasteering where you can explore caves, traverse the cliffs and swim along the rocky coastline under the watchful eyes of our qualified instructors. This deservedly popular activity is a crazy combination of techniques used to scramble the waters edge, climb rocks, swim and jump. It’s all about getting wet and having fun!
Snorkelling - Great fun, easy to learn and an ideal way to build up confidence in the water! Let one of our BSAC instructors take you on an underwater adventure that’s suitable for anyone and is a great way to get the whole family involved! Once the participant is comfortable with the basics of mask clearing, kicking techniques and snorkel use we progress to deeper waters and rocky outcrops.
Bivouac camping- The Bivouac (pronounced biv-oo-ak) Adventure is an overnight activity that will give you first hand experience of bushcraft and survival skills, path tracking, shelter building skills, fire lighting techniques and camp cookery. We will provide you with a sleeping bag and a waterproof bivi bag, but once you have tracked your way through the wooded area to the camp and gathered naturally fallen wood and tree branches you will build your own shelter for the night then cook on the fire that you ill prepare and light yourselves! Our experienced instructors will guide you through this process, giving you advice and suggestions where needed to ensure a comfortable night.
Island Adventures pride ourselves on small group instruction ensuring our clients get the very best of attention from the instructor. No prior experience is required and all safety equipment is provided. We are a British Canoe Union Accredited Provider, adhering to standards set by the Adventure Activity Licensing Regulations. We use fully qualified instructors who undergo enhanced police safety checks.
